What is the imagined communities of Hong Kong?
Introduction:
Aim of my research that to explore Hong Kong as a visitor destination, the construction process development. In this research, we can find out Hong Kong imagined communities. People choose which things to represent in our national culture and identity. Such as vernacular, property and memory about Hong Kong. It is still keep traditional or have some change nowadays.
What is the imagined communities of Hong Kong?

On the other hand, visitor destination development plays a significant role for Hong Kong to retain its position as an international metropolis. We can explore Hong Kong construction process how let it became a popular visitor destination over the world. Because Hong Kong should have some distinctive imagined communities attract other visitor come here.
Research methods:
First of all, I will search some objects related and cover Hong Kong construction. Find the secondary information or data online and offline should starting at the same time. Then, I will design the questions for the quantitative research. I suppose to use online survey format to collect my data because it can studying large numbers of people and random sampling let the result more fair. Moreover, the online survey target is not limited on age but they should living in Hong Kong even their nationality is other country. Five hundred online survey will send out, wish receive around Three hundred effective survey.

Dear Jazz, There are two different research questions. Please focus on the first one with refinement - "In what ways is Hong Kong constructed as shoppers' paradise in Hong Kong Tourism Board's website?" This is more specific. Focus on representation with the support of some visitors' perception through interview. You can check MC1 powerpoint on representation of place for your project.
