Research question
To explore my final project, I would like to study on the popularity of Korean pop music in Hong Kong and my research question would be "Why Hong Kong teenagers like to consume on Korean pop music instead of local pop music?"
Introduction
I choose to study about Korean pop music (K-pop) as the trend of K-pop music become famous over the world in these years. Hong Kong is also a part that affected by K-pop music. Even me or most of my friends listen to K-pop music instead of local pop music. Some people even go to learn Korean language as they can understand the meaning of the song. Teenagers in Hong Kong like to act like the K-pop star they like and sing the K-pop song in karaoke room.
In the past few years when I was primary school student, teenagers in Hong Kong listened to local pop music instead of other country's pop music. So in my research, I aim to study why K-pop music become popular in Hong Kong in these years. Also, why Hong Kong teenagers consume and interesting in it and why do they not support local pop music.

Methods to be used
For the method that uses to do research on my topic, I would like to use qualitative research. Qualitative research can first help me to enrich my research, I can get the answer deeply as to know the causes and reason. Also, it helps me to get in-depth research result as I can change the question when interviewing the target.
In my research, I will have an in-depth interview with around 5 Hong Kong teenagers in Hong Kong. The age of them will be around 16-22, 3 of them consume on K-pop music only and 2 of them consume on both K-pop music and local pop music. From these 5 interviewers, I can first know about why Hong Kong teenagers get interest and consume on K-pop music. Besides, I can know the reason that why there have decreasing in get attention on local pop music as there have 2 interviewer still consume on local pop music.

1. How long have you consume on K-pop music?
2. What makes you start consume on K-pop music?
3. What makes you keep consume on K-pop music?
4. What do K-pop music change you (life style, eating habit)?
