The research topic that I interested in is the relationship
between media and violence. And the summary statement is how the level of
violence of the content of the video game will affect teenage game
player towards the acceptability of violence.
The reason of I interested
in analysing this topic because of the debate between the violence game and the
real crime is become a hot issue in the society. Many people think that there
is a strong relation between the violence games and the crime. But also there
are some noises disagree that. So I want to measure that is the violence game
really affected the game player. If yes, how is the level of affected towards the
game player.
I will use the qualitative research to
analyse this topic because of I can collect the detailed and rich result about
how the audience feel and thinking about these kind of violence game. Also this
method can let me have opportunity to observe and interview the game players.
It is easy to measure how the acceptability of the player towards these violence
games and sum up the level of violence. So I can analyse this topic accurately.
And the method I will use is
provide a questionnaire to the interviewee first. After that I will provide a
violence game to them. At last will also have a interview and questionnaire to
them to measure the attitudes of the interviewee towards the violence have
changed or not. With this method I can analyse that the acceptability to the
violence of the players have change or not. And we will record the level of acceptability
to the interviewee before they play the violence game we
provided. And then we can compare the acceptability to the violence before and
after playing the game we provided.
And the sampling
method I will use is the snowball sampling. With this method I can find more teenagers
who come from different society and culture environment. That is a advantage that
the result will become more reliability.

Hi Billy, The research question is specific. My concern is whether you can really demonstrate the effect by a simple questionnaire. You can take a look of media effects researches and you may have clearer idea of how your project can be conducted. In case statistical analysis is not possible, you can try to focus on how and why teenagers like playing violence TV game. In your case, a clearer definition of "media violence" and "level of violence" is required.
